  2. Average length :- Between 30 and 50 inches
  3. Body colors :- Red, green, yellow, black and grey.

Description 

  • Their 3 main subspecies are reported all over the world.
  • A very agile species of snake that lives on plants.
  • Sri Lanka is mainly found in the humid zone and intermediate zones.
  • A slightly poisonous snake.
  • Often lives among trees and bushes.

Body Characteristics

  • Takes a thin cylindrical shape.
  • The head is relatively flat.
  • With a shrunken neck.
  • A circular lens is located in the large eyes.
  • With a greenish body color.
  • The body color of most snakes is black on the back and yellow dots can be seen across it.
  • Red dots can be seen in the center of the body.
  • The front part of the body is light gray and sometimes yellow spots can be seen.

Special Features

  • There is a possibility of jumping from a higher position to a lower position.
  • Ability to move very fast.

Meals

  • They eat geckos and bats and are able to catch even small flying birds.

Contagion

  • Their breeding takes place through eggs and during the rainy season the female snake lays between 6 and 12 eggs at a time.
